My Lipstick Of The Week is Ciaté London, Liquid Chrome Metallic Lip Gloss, colour Luna. I’ve always known Ciaté London for their cute nail polishes, but they actually sell many products from lip glosses to eye shadow palettes and they are cruelty free. Their prices are very reasonable and this lip gloss is beautiful. Chrome lip glosses are great for creating fuller lips and also making a statement. This range comes in six gorgeous colours and retails at £15. This colour is the perfect rose gold on its own and can be used as a topper too!
Lottie London is a vegan and cruelty free cosmetics company. Their products are trendy and colourful and without the designer price tag. As you can see from my collection, I love a nude and this is a gorgeous nude called Werk It from Lottie London’s Slay All Day range. There are many colours available in this Slay all Day range. This lip kit comes with a creamy and pigmented lip liner and lipstick for only £7.19! This matte liquid lipstick is creamier and thicker than most matte liquid lipsticks I have tried, but I found that this gave me more time to play around with it before it dried. I like this range a lot, it reminds me of brands like Barry M. I absolutely adore good makeup for a fraction of designer prices and I would totally recommend this one!
After loving the last Matte Me Up lip set I got from Barry M, I had to get another set! I chose this amazing colour called 24 Carat. This matte chrome effect gives the illusion of fuller lips. The quality of this product is very good, especially for £6.99. For £6.99 you get a full sized lip colour and lip liner. A lot of brands are now selling chrome lip toppers, this colour is so metallic you won’t need to use any chrome lip topper to get this beautiful metallic sheen. Thumbs up Barry M for another gorgeous lip set.
NARS Velvet Lip Glide is so dense and rich in pigment that it leaves your lips looking deliciously glossy. It comes in a cute and understated packaging. I’m using this beautiful vamp colour called Unspeakable. To get this really glossy look I applied on a few layers. I love this gloss, it comes in many shades from nudes to vampire. I already have the colour Stripped and I will be adding more to my collection. It’s so worth the £23.00, I highly recommend!
This week I’m using Barry M Matte Me Up Liquid Lip Kit £6.99 from ASOS. I’m very excited about this lip kit by Barry M. Firstly it’s only £6.99, I mean seriously, how cheap is that?? You get a liner and a lipstick! Does the price tag mean that the quality is compromised? Absolutely not! The liner is creamy and packed with colour. The lipstick is so similar to my beloved Huda liquid lipsticks. It smells great, it glides on beautifully and most importantly it looks amazing and lasts! There are metallic kits available, but the range isn’t huge. Barry M please bring out more! I can’t get enough!
Huda Beauty liquid matte lipsticks has got to be my favourite. It smells divine, it is silky smooth and gives your lips a beautiful finish. This lip set is a bargain at £29. It comes with a lip liner and two mini liquid matte lipsticks, perfect for contouring to create fuller looking lips. This lip set is so easy to use, the liner is long lasting and the mini liquid lipsticks glides on so smoothly and does not feel tacky nor does it crack. There are other lip sets available for sale. The colours are so pigmented and beautiful, you can’t go wrong. Huda beauty never lets me down, the products and packaging is always top quality!
I am loving this colour!! It’s the perfect vampire shade. However I had to be generous, applying on a few layers to achieve the full potential of this lipstick. Retailing at £26, it is a little on the high end of lipstick prices. Yes, the packaging is slick, the lid is magnetic and snaps on in a very sophisticated way. But does this warrant spending £26? The sensible part of me says no, but the naughty side of me says this colour is banging. It’s a good lipstick, it is moisturising and goes on very silky giving your lips a beautiful shine. NARS claims that this lipstick gives a full coverage in a single stroke, but I disagree with this claim as I had to apply quite a few layers to get full coverage. Although I like this lipstick, I’m not in a rush to buy more shades from this range as I feel that there isn’t anything majorly special about it that makes it stand out from other lipsticks.
This matte lipstick comes in many colours and is in the style of a pen. It twists like a traditional lipstick but looks like a fat lip liner. It is creamy and very pigmented. Although it glides on easily, it is hard to get precision as the tip of the lipstick is big and rounded. I recommend using a lip brush to get perfect edges.
I chose the colour Fire. It is a proper red, red. This colour is definitely a statement because it is so bold and would give any monotone outfit a pop of colour. Unlike liquid matte lipsticks, you have lots of time to get it perfect as it doesn’t dry like the way liquid lipsticks do.
I haven’t used any lipsticks in this style before so I can’t compare, but I love the quality and the colour. The pigment and coverage is great, thumbs up from me!
