Revolution Retro Luxe Lip Kit £6.00

The Verdict

Revolution London is a cruelty free brand with the drugstore price tag. This week I am using Revolution’s Unicorn Dream Lip Kit. With a metallic purple lip liner and a holographic lip gloss, this lip kit is interesting to say the least. It’s not the most outrageous lipstick I’ve tried as it is surprisingly subtle. To achieve this look, I layered the lip liner on the edges and shaded in the outer parts of my lips. Then I blended it in using the holographic lip gloss. Okay, this isn’t the best quality lipstick I have encountered, but for £6.00 you can’t go wrong, especially if you’re feeling brave and want to try new colours.

FENTY Beauty Stunna Lip Paint £19.00

The Verdict

I fell in love with FENTY Stunna Lip Paint right from the get go, from the packaging to the colour, everything about this lip paint screams sexy. I am using the colour Uncensored. It is the perfect red, and suits any skin tone. The shape of the wand means you can get ultra precision and just one stroke contains an insane amount of pigment. Once dry, you get a soft matte finish and it lasts 12 hours!! I am absolutely in love with this cruelty-free liquid lipstick, more colours please Riri!

Lipstick Of The Week | Revolution

Revolution Luxe Lip Kit £6.00

The Verdict

Revolution Luxe lip kit is a serious bargain. It’s a drugstore brand and it’s pretty decent. The Revolution Luxe Lip Kit includes a lip liner and a lipstick and comes in matte, metallic and glossy. The liner is quality, it’s pigmented and creamy. The matte lipstick is good, although it doesn’t have a nice fragrance like other brands it is not something I’m going to cry over because this kit costs £6. If you love collecting cute lip colours you would love this. And you wouldn’t be breaking the bank either.

TOO FACED La Crème Mystical Lipstick

The Verdict

This by far has got to be the most fascinating lipstick I have tried. Too Faced La Crème Mystical Lipstick is vegan and cruelty free and the reason why it is called La Crème Mystical Lipstick is because it changes colour depending on your body temperature. Yes, I said it, it changes colour!! I’m using this in the colour Unicorn Tears. It is available in Mermaid tears, Fairy Tears and Angel tears. It is infused with white lotus flower extract and smells great. This iridescent colour on its own is very unusual and a big statement, it would also give any lipstick a beautiful iridescent sheen. Screenshot_20180318-183426_Instagram.jpg

Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Lip Colour’In £23.00

The Verdict

Okay, I admit it, I was instantly attracted to Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Lip Colour’In because of the packaging. But what I really loved was the amount of colours this lipstick is available in. I decided to be brave and go for a bright colour I normally wouldn’t try called Yuccie. It’s a beautiful bright berry purple and goes gorgeously with the purples in my Huda Beauty Desert Dusk eye shadow palette. With the first application it gives a lovely translucent colour. This lipstick was designed to be buildable, so you can get the intensity you desire. One thing I love is that it smells like roses and is absolutely divine. This comes as no surprise to me as Guerlain is one of the oldest perfume houses in the world. This lipstick is also pleasantly sweet to taste, not that I advise to eat it but it just shows the thought that went into designing this weightless and bare-lipped feel formula. I love love love this lipstick!

The Verdict

This week I’m using Barry M Matte Me Up Liquid Lip Kit £6.99 from ASOS. I’m very excited about this lip kit by Barry M. Firstly it’s only £6.99, I mean seriously, how cheap is that?? You get a liner and a lipstick! Does the price tag mean that the quality is compromised? Absolutely not! The liner is creamy and packed with colour. The lipstick is so similar to my beloved Huda liquid lipsticks. It smells great, it glides on beautifully and most importantly it looks amazing and lasts! There are metallic kits available, but the range isn’t huge. Barry M please bring out more! I can’t get enough!
