I’m using Stila Stay all day liquid lipstick in the colour Bacca. This lightweight and vitamin infused lipstick provides full coverage and moisture to your lips. This range comes in 25 gorgeous colours to suit any skin tone or occasion. Unlike some liquid matte lipsticks on the market, this lipstick is not sticky, tacky and does not crack. This lipstick is simple to apply and because of the intense pigment, it does not require a lip liner. If you’re looking for a reliable matte lipstick that will give you kissable looking lips, Stila stay all day will give you a 6 hours perfect pout.
I’m using FENTY Beauty Mattemoiselle Plush Matte lipstick in the colour Shawty. This matte lipstick is creamier than most matte lipsticks I have tried, and is gloriously pigmented. The finish is not extremely matte, but I love that it is subtle. As you can see from the video, one swipe gives you full and intense coverage. No lip liner needed! Like other Fenty products, the packaging is distinctive and gorgeous. This ultra slim lipstick is available in 14 bold and beautiful colours designed to suit all skin tones. At £16 a pop, I think it’s definitely worth the buy and will definitely be adding more colour to my collection.
I fell in love with FENTY Stunna Lip Paint right from the get go, from the packaging to the colour, everything about this lip paint screams sexy. I am using the colour Uncensored. It is the perfect red, and suits any skin tone. The shape of the wand means you can get ultra precision and just one stroke contains an insane amount of pigment. Once dry, you get a soft matte finish and it lasts 12 hours!! I am absolutely in love with this cruelty-free liquid lipstick, more colours please Riri!
Revolution Luxe lip kit is a serious bargain. It’s a drugstore brand and it’s pretty decent. The Revolution Luxe Lip Kit includes a lip liner and a lipstick and comes in matte, metallic and glossy. The liner is quality, it’s pigmented and creamy. The matte lipstick is good, although it doesn’t have a nice fragrance like other brands it is not something I’m going to cry over because this kit costs £6. If you love collecting cute lip colours you would love this. And you wouldn’t be breaking the bank either.
Okay, I admit it, I was instantly attracted to Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Lip Colour’In because of the packaging. But what I really loved was the amount of colours this lipstick is available in. I decided to be brave and go for a bright colour I normally wouldn’t try called Yuccie. It’s a beautiful bright berry purple and goes gorgeously with the purples in my Huda Beauty Desert Dusk eye shadow palette. With the first application it gives a lovely translucent colour. This lipstick was designed to be buildable, so you can get the intensity you desire. One thing I love is that it smells like roses and is absolutely divine. This comes as no surprise to me as Guerlain is one of the oldest perfume houses in the world. This lipstick is also pleasantly sweet to taste, not that I advise to eat it but it just shows the thought that went into designing this weightless and bare-lipped feel formula. I love love love this lipstick!
Lottie London is a vegan and cruelty free cosmetics company. Their products are trendy and colourful and without the designer price tag. As you can see from my collection, I love a nude and this is a gorgeous nude called Werk It from Lottie London’s Slay All Day range. There are many colours available in this Slay all Day range. This lip kit comes with a creamy and pigmented lip liner and lipstick for only £7.19! This matte liquid lipstick is creamier and thicker than most matte liquid lipsticks I have tried, but I found that this gave me more time to play around with it before it dried. I like this range a lot, it reminds me of brands like Barry M. I absolutely adore good makeup for a fraction of designer prices and I would totally recommend this one!
This Valentine’s, my husband and I stayed at The Crazy Bear Hotel in Beaconsfield. It’s a hotel we have always wanted to visit. The Crazy Bear Hotel is known for it’s out of the ordinary decor and screams sexy romantic. Being a listed building, the hotel has character and is so lusciously decorated inside with the most random things.
Upon arrival we were greeted with champagne and shown to our suite by a very friendly member of staff. Because every room is different, I had a look at the rooms available on the website and picked junior suite number 8. I was instantly drawn to the beautiful black and gold decor and the stunning rose gold bath tub at the end of the bed.
I’ve never seen decor quite as spectacular as this. The walls were black and gold crushed velvet diamond shapes and the floor was laid in black leather. Above the bed the ceiling was completely mirrored- seriously sexy. I was worried that people would be able to see through the windows, but it was mirrored from the outside, another very nice touch.
Once I had taken in all of the amazing surroundings, I found a complimentary bottle of champagne on ice, ready for our arrival. We arrived at around 4 pm so had some time to kill before dinner. So of course the first thing I did was I ran a bath and drank champagne!
I am dying over this amazing rose gold bath tub. Seriously, just look how inviting it looks! It was as heavenly as it looks. And get this, the water fills from the ceiling. It’s SO extra but I love it so much!
The bathroom was mirrored from every angle, and features a mini version of the bathtub for the sink. The shower was completely open which felt really strange to use, but liberating at the same time.
We really enjoyed our stay at The Crazy Bear Hotel. If you want to have a romantic getaway with the WOW factor, visit The Crazy Bear Hotel. This hotel will get you in the mood for quality time with your partner *wink wink*. It really is spectacular! I’m already thinking of excuses to go again. Happy Valentine’s Day!!
NARS Velvet Lip Glide is so dense and rich in pigment that it leaves your lips looking deliciously glossy. It comes in a cute and understated packaging. I’m using this beautiful vamp colour called Unspeakable. To get this really glossy look I applied on a few layers. I love this gloss, it comes in many shades from nudes to vampire. I already have the colour Stripped and I will be adding more to my collection. It’s so worth the £23.00, I highly recommend!
This week I’m using Barry M Matte Me Up Liquid Lip Kit £6.99 from ASOS. I’m very excited about this lip kit by Barry M. Firstly it’s only £6.99, I mean seriously, how cheap is that?? You get a liner and a lipstick! Does the price tag mean that the quality is compromised? Absolutely not! The liner is creamy and packed with colour. The lipstick is so similar to my beloved Huda liquid lipsticks. It smells great, it glides on beautifully and most importantly it looks amazing and lasts! There are metallic kits available, but the range isn’t huge. Barry M please bring out more! I can’t get enough!
I am loving this colour!! It’s the perfect vampire shade. However I had to be generous, applying on a few layers to achieve the full potential of this lipstick. Retailing at £26, it is a little on the high end of lipstick prices. Yes, the packaging is slick, the lid is magnetic and snaps on in a very sophisticated way. But does this warrant spending £26? The sensible part of me says no, but the naughty side of me says this colour is banging. It’s a good lipstick, it is moisturising and goes on very silky giving your lips a beautiful shine. NARS claims that this lipstick gives a full coverage in a single stroke, but I disagree with this claim as I had to apply quite a few layers to get full coverage. Although I like this lipstick, I’m not in a rush to buy more shades from this range as I feel that there isn’t anything majorly special about it that makes it stand out from other lipsticks.
